Privacy Policy
Effective October 18, 2026
This policy explains what Role Rewritten collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. Role Rewritten is operated by Jon King in Tampa, Florida.
The short version
Your information is used only to write your documents and run your order. It's never sold. You can ask me to delete it at any time.
What I collect
- What you give me: your name, email, phone number, resume, answers to my questions, job postings, LinkedIn profile link, and anything else you choose to share.
- Free resume audit: the resume you upload, your email if you unlock the full report, your answer about working with a recruiting firm, and your audit results.
- Order details: the package, design, and add-ons you choose, and whether you paid. Card details go straight to Stripe; I never see or store them.
- Site visits: anonymous visit statistics, such as page views and the type of device, collected by the site's hosting provider. These don't identify you.
How I use it
- To write, revise, and deliver your documents
- To run your free resume audit and email you your report
- To prepare for and hold coaching sessions and calls
- To email you about your order
- To send my weekly career advice article, only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe any time.
Services that help me run Role Rewritten
I use a small number of providers to run the business. Each one handles your information only to provide its service:
- Tally: order and question forms
- Stripe: payments
- AI tools, such as Claude by Anthropic: running the free resume audit and writing first drafts from your answers
- Email providers, including Resend: sending and receiving email
- Calendly and Zoom: scheduling and holding calls
- Vercel: hosting the website and the resume audit, and counting visits
I don't sell, rent, or trade your information, and I don't share it with employers, recruiters, or anyone else.
How long I keep it
- Orders: 12 months after delivery, so I can handle revisions and the 60-day free rewrite. Then I delete it.
- Free resume audits that don't become orders: up to 90 days, then deleted.
- Payment records: kept as long as tax law requires.
Your choices
- Delete your information: email me and I'll delete your files and answers within 30 days, except records the law requires me to keep.
- See or correct your information: email me and I'll send you what I have or fix it.
- Stop emails: use the unsubscribe link, or email me.
Security
I keep your files in password-protected accounts used only for Role Rewritten, and I limit what I keep to what your order needs.
Who this is for
Role Rewritten is for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
